Terms and conditions

This policy is being finalised and may change before launch.

These terms explain how Nairalot competitions work and the agreement between you and Nairalot when you create an account or enter a competition.

1. Who can enter

• You must be 18 or over and resident in Nigeria.
• You may hold only one account. Duplicate accounts may be closed and their entries cancelled.
• Our employees, their immediate families and our prize partners may not enter.

2. Entering a competition

• Each competition shows its prize, ticket price, total tickets, per-person ticket limit and closing time.
• To be eligible, an entry must answer the competition question correctly. Incorrect entries are not entered into the draw and are not refunded.
• An entry is confirmed only when payment succeeds and we issue your ticket numbers.
• You can also enter for free using the free entry route.

3. Draws and winners

• The winner is chosen at random from eligible entries using the process described on our fair draws page.
• We will contact the winner using the phone number and email on their account. If we cannot reach a winner within 14 days, we may draw again.
• Before a prize is awarded, the winner must verify their identity and age.

4. Prizes

• Where a cash alternative is offered, the winner may choose the prize or the cash alternative.
• Prizes are not transferable. Cash prizes are paid to a Nigerian bank account in the winner's name.
• If a prize becomes unavailable, we may substitute a prize of equal or greater value.

5. Cancellations and refunds

If we cancel a competition, every paid entry is refunded in full to the original payment method or your Nairalot wallet.

6. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login details secure. We may suspend accounts we reasonably suspect of fraud, abuse or breaking these terms.

7. Complaints and governing law

If you are unhappy with our service, please follow our complaints process. These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
